European equity markets should continue their decline on Wednesday, in the wake of the Asian stock markets, which are moving in the red at the end of the session.

Over the last few days we have seen a substantial amount of money wiped off the stock market due to the effects of the COVID-19 virus. [Time to roll out the man with his head in his hands picture] This effects pensions, government planning and financial institutions and likely a ton of other bodies and organisations that I am thankfully unaware of.

Funny really. Looking out the window here the sun is out and the dog wants his breakfast.

The real world just rolls on.

Sure people are worried and folks are dying and that is of course serious and a major concern to anyone effected by such but I am reminded of the day my dad died back more than 20 years ago.

I was returning to the family home to get a shower before returning to his bedside and the traffic was jammed up. It was August and the weather was good and it was busy and lively as people pursued their daily chores . Did no one know my dad was dying?

I suppose what I am saying is there is a permanent disconnect between events and the effects that these events have on the effectee. It’s hard wired into the DNA I guess to ignore.

Now back to Ted.
